What unconditional love asks of you

Loving unconditionally is not nearly as easy to embody as many believe it is – because it calls for your complete and total annihilation.

It will require of you to leave behind your beliefs, needs, conditionings, peripheral feelings, ideas, projections, and every single last fraying thread of desire to change anything about that being that you are loving.

When you are there, except for humility, acceptance, love and liberation, there will be utterly nothing else left of you.

This requires so much awareness and commitment to relationship and to growing – a wholesome endeavor……Thanks for posting this, MIchael – particularly inspiring for me today.
Just this morning, I was getting in touch with how I experience this low-level of anxiety around my son – is he doing the right thing; am I parenting in the way that I should be in this moment – tense – woah…watching that……who would I be in relationship with my son if I were not coming from that anxious place – what can come into the space we share – who can we be together? Maybe he is not someone I need to be SO focused on – SO responsible for. At this point, for me now, the practice: to watch that anxiety and not respond to IT, but to breath,go slow, use my senses to get present, so I can respond to my SON : )
